More yours in every way

You know I'm [ i n s a n e ]
and I say the strangest things;
and I'm not always
                    without wax—

But I'm yours, darling,
          and always will be—

Through all the flotsam and jetsam of our
          run-and-tumble relationship—

Through the skies pervaded with
     supernovas of sarcasm and
     black holes of bittersweet kisses—

The [ l i e s ] that held us together
               and the
[ t r u t h s ] that tore us apart—

And you still don't believe
     that my heartstrings
     latched themselves around you
               like laces, and I'm the one
                    tripping on your love—

I'm so sorry, I can't help but
          hold you down;
But I swear, if you ever needed anyone
               to fly down that abyss
               and spare your gorgeous eyes
          from turning empty
I'd be the first to take that leap—

Why can't you know
          that I'm more yours in every way
     than my feeble heart could bear;
     than my see-through metaphors
               could ever say?
