On a spider web at dawn

A faint whisper cries
"I'm glad that you all came."
I press your hands without brawn
Before I leave, bidding my adieu.

Lie To MeFingertips lace around my ribs
And pull at my skin
As my breath catches
At the coolness of your touch.

Calm these trembling hands
And hold them tight in yours.
I'll move my lips on yours
Just so you don't have to.

Hearts beat faster and
My breath shudders with insecurity.
Press my body close to yours
So I don't shatter into fragments.

Lie to me one more time.
Tangle your legs in mine,
Brush your lips along my neck.
Make me feel alive.

Don't Let GoAs darkness encroaches
And the world begins to blur
I cling to what know

we are creatures of the ink

skinny stick figures

it was just spring and it was downwind and i was still a firefly egg below the surface of the ground.
not all of us want to get somewhere fast,
and as my feet submerged in rainwater i swore to be star-streaked and wind burnt to diminish the
overwhelming enormity of life.

[i felt the world slipping through the paradox
and resurfaced onto concrete land to come up for air. it was a cocoon of sagebrush and waterfall,
nothing i've ever seen before,
and i forgot i was not a queen but
some kind of
deeply rooted instinct will remind me sooner or later.]

BowsShe had never been late a day in her life. So I got nervous when two minutes before the bell, Anna still wasn't in her seat.

I remember the day I met her, her blonde curly hair up in pigtails with two matching yellow bows. I loved them; I was always fascinated with the little things. The next day she was wearing a different bow, this one was purple, and from that moment on I demanded that she wear a different bow in her hair everyday. She did. One hundred and eighty different bows; she never missed a day.

She didn't wear bows after Kindergarten. I miss that little girl with the bows sometimes. I think I made her hate them, the bows I mean.

simmer.you and i are as certain as the summer sunsets - we rise in brilliance and fall in peace. we illuminate the picture of planet Earth in the warm shades that we whisper to one another when we were certain nobody else kept their eyes on us.

well, i thought they wouldn't.

as it turns out, i've got it all backwards.

they were the ones with their eyes wide open, their gazes on the light we left. in hallways and hotels they murmur what is obvious, what is expected to come between us as we stride side by side. even your eyes managed to never stray too far from my being, and while i kept glancing above your extended height, i was only keeping blin

DancingI swirl in loops as you twirl me in circles, brushing your soft hands through my hair and across my face. You sing softly into my ear, a gentle melodious tune that soothes the stormiest depths of my mind. I'm practically flying, reaching as high for the sky as I can, with nothing but the tips of my bare toes sinking into the soft grass. I leap and bound as you carry me through the steps, leading me out of the murky maze that entraps my soul and into a spiraling utopia. And then, a single icy bead bursts freely on my forearm. Hear everything, watch everything, get to know everything that surrounds you. And you will be one of it.
Leave something behind. If people remember you for just one day after you die - you will remain forever.
Do not hide your violence. Just save it unless you are able to fully understand it and unleash it.
Think deeper. And deeper. And deeper, unless you reach the bottom. But you will not find one.

Stressor i consist of confusion,
waning friends and
anger.

i smell of insecurity
and hopelessness
and i probably taste
like spearmint gum and a much needed cup
of earl grey.

that's alright, though, i suppose.

but in waking up, i'd like the world to
make sense;
(or just be a bit easier on me.)

I can't quite put my finger on what's wrong.

so i have stopped drinking tea with honey because you give me enough sweetness so that my sugar cravings are abated, and my thirst is quenched because you have glaciers in your eyes when you laugh.

but all the same i'm a starving, lean anorexic in elegant martyrdom, for you are like gold, and i, a filth-covered miner with clumsy ambition that you see in sepia pictures; you are so beautiful and glimmering but you make yourself untouchable, twisting my heart in two without trying.

and in the cold i can only imagine what warmth may feel like – the summer, the emerald grass and its intoxicating scent, the marigolds and butte

Spontaneous little piece. This word, ever since I heard it six or seven years ago, has always been on my mind AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.
